With more than 20 years of public relations agency experience, Sean Dougherty is responsible for top-tier media relations strategic planning and execution across all three of the firm’s practice groups.
Sean also manages several of the agency’s key financial and professional services clients, including accounting and law firms; housing, mortgage and related companies; equity research analysts; gold retailers; investment advisors; investment banks; and various B2B consultancies.
He has a demonstrated ability to turn complex and otherwise obscure information into digestible message points for easy media consumption, and maintains a network of dozens of journalists at leading national, financial and trade outlets.
Previously, Sean was a vice president at MWW Group, one of the largest firms in the industry, and also a vice president at Stern & Assoc., a mid-sized agency. Early in his career, he was a senior account executive with Edelman.
Throughout his career, Sean has led high-profile executive positioning exercises for institutions such as Polytechnic University, Diamond Foods, Baker Hostetler, and the Motley Fool. He won multiple public relations awards for the Christopher Reeve Foundation campaign in 2005, including “Best of Show” at the Mercury Awards. Sean graduated from Trinity College with a B.A. degree in English.
