Richard plays an active role on many of the firm’s asset management and financial clients. He has more than 20 years of public relations experience, and has held managerial and executive-level positions at small, mid-sized, and large New York-based agencies including industry leaders Ruder-Finn and Morgen-Walke (now part of Financial Dynamics). He also spent two years as the director of communications at a technology-focused asset management firm prior to launching DPR in 2003.
Throughout his career, Richard Dukas has successfully developed and implemented high-visibility media relations campaigns in the national, international and financial press for a variety of well-known companies including: AT&T, Data General (now owned by EMC) and France Telecom, as well as many emerging and mid-sized companies, primarily in the technology and financial service industries. He also has conducted campaigns on behalf of influential non-profit organizations, political groups and VIPs. Agency Experience: Ruder-Finn, Financial Dynamics, KCSA Worldwide From 1999-2000, Richard was a managing partner at KCSA Worldwide, where he built and managed the firm’s corporate communications practice. At KCSA, he represented a number of fast-growing, high-profile companies including 4Kids Entertainment, Impact Venture Partners (started by Adam Dell) and Virgin Atlantic Airways. From 1997-99, Richard was a vice president at Morgen-Walke one of the industry's largest investor relations and financial public relations firms. He was responsible for managing and conducting media relations campaigns for 20 publicly-held companies, including L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL), a top defense technology company and Teva Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: TEVA), the world's largest manufacturer of generic drugs. Richard also was a senior vice president at Ruder-Finn, one of the industry’s largest firms, from 1994-1997. In this role, he managed one million dollars in annual revenues and ten employees.
