Gail is active "behind-the-scenes" at DPR, managing the firm's accounting and human resources departments. An experienced copywriter, she is also responsible for editing and writing a wide array of materials for clients, including backgrounders, pitch letters, and press releases.
Prior to launching Dukas Public Relations with Richard in 2003, Gail ran her own copywriting consultancy. Previously, Gail was the staff writer at Hadassah—the educational and fundraising arm of the Jerusalem-based Hadassah Medical Organization, one of the world’s most renowned medical institutions. From 1994-1995, she was the chief copywriter for Sterling Publishing (now a division of Barnes & Noble) where she wrote promotional copy and publicity materials for books on a variety of non-fiction topics. She was also an associate editor at Jason Aronson Inc., a leading Judaica publishing house, from 1991-1994. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Gail received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in general literature and creative writing from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1991. |
